Privacy policy

ScienceExperts.ai is operated by its founders, Lutfiya Miller and Chris-Steven Müller, based in the European Union. This policy covers the personal data this site processes: the contact form, the email list, including the free-tool gate and the optional Regulatory Radar brief, and basic page analytics. It does not cover the Toxicology Suite calculators (which run independently and do not send this site your calculation inputs) or the separate community platform at /community, which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, we collect your email address and the message you write. We use this solely to reply to you. The submission is sent by email through our delivery provider (Resend) and is not stored in a database on our end. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you initiate, or steps taken at your request prior to a possible contract.

The email list, including the free-tool gate. When you enter an email address to open the calculator, or in the signup form further down the page, we pass that address to our newsletter provider, MailerLite (an EU-based company), which manages the double opt-in confirmation, sending, and one-click unsubscribe. The list carries news of new tools and walkthroughs. If you tick "Also send Regulatory Radar", the same address is added to a second group on the same list for that brief. The calculator opens once you have confirmed the address. Until then the address is kept only in your browser, and it is removed there once confirmed. Legal basis: your consent, given by subscribing and confirming.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which records page views, referrers, and coarse device and location data (country or city level, never an exact address). It identifies visitors by a hash generated from the incoming request rather than a cookie, sets no third-party cookies, cannot reconstruct your browsing across other sites, and discards that hash within 24 hours. What remains is aggregate statistics, not a profile tied to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage.

Browser storage. Four values live in your browser's local storage: your light/dark mode choice, whether you have opened the calculator, whether you have joined the email list, and, while a confirmation is outstanding, the address awaiting confirmation. None of these values ever leaves your device and none is accessible to us.

Spam prevention. Form submissions are checked with a hidden field and a timing check to reduce automated spam. No CAPTCHA or third-party fraud-detection service is used, and no additional personal data is collected for this purpose.

Who we share data with

Resend (contact form delivery), MailerLite (newsletter), and Vercel (hosting and the cookieless analytics described above) act as our processors and only use your data to provide those services to us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions exist only as the email they generate; we keep that email for as long as is reasonably useful to the conversation it started, then delete it. Newsletter subscriber data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed, and removed from MailerLite when you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@scienceexperts.ai. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every issue, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
